How to pack for a move

Well-packed things arrive in one piece, and loading goes faster. These tips will help you get ready.

Boxes
- Put heavy things — books, dishes — in small boxes, light things in large ones
- Don't overfill: boxes should close flat and be liftable by one person
- Tape box bottoms with two layers
- Fill gaps with paper or clothes so nothing moves
Fragile items
- Wrap each dish in paper separately
- Stand plates on their edge in the box, not in a stack
- Fill glasses and vases with paper inside too
- Write "Fragile" and "This way up" on the box
Labelling and the rest
- Write the room and a short list of contents on every box
- Put screws from dismantled furniture in a bag and tape it to the furniture
- Clothes can travel in suitcases and bags
- Close liquids tightly and put them in a bag
Once everything is packed
Stack the boxes by the door and tell us roughly how many there are. Our driver will help you load and take everything to your new address.
